Curious as to why Composite Armor got downgraded to Green and also turns down defense in addition to agility. I had a hard time seeing the worth of armor when it just turned down agility (I like the range stuff so far), but it's even harder to see why I'd want an average of 2 DR in exchange for being easier to hit?

Armor will always be a weighed decision, based on your character build. Keep in mind that the setting cards included with the module (and the print version when it arrives) are meant to be examples to inspire Simple Smiths as much as get people playing right 'out of the box'. I hope to see all manner of armor types each with their own advantages and disadvantages come out of the community.

I haven't seen the updated card, but based on what you're saying Lord Anubis, it sounds like it hasn't changed at all? It used to be a yellow armor, back when yellow = "1", but the colors changed, and so green = "1" now. And Agility is added to Defense, so if you reduce Agility you reduce Defense.

You're just turning down, so that doesn't affect the point number of your agility on your card used to determine defense, right? but if it does then it would effectively now be a double turn down to defense, since it has the turn down symbol, then it shows defense and agility symbol. But yeah I forgot about the color changes.

I always assumed "turn down Agility" also applied to derived stats. I think the armor is supposed to be green damage reduction, and your defense and any other agility-based flips are turned down by one. You're right that if the penalty double-dings your defense then the armor's costs outweigh its benefits.

I did previously state that turning down agility would also turn down your defense. However, that has been changed for simplicity's sake. Now derived stats are no longer affected by effects that make you turn down the parent abilities, unless those changes are permanent. That is why the armor lists both agility and defense.

Ah, so it isn't really a change at all just a clarification.
